I just had one of these and was really excited to try it. Once lit I experience a nice nutty character, with some earthy, coffee and creamy notes. After the intial burn, the sweet spiciness came through nicely. I was off and running. And then I ran into some burn issues. I noticed one side of the cigar not burning properly. After inspection I felt a very hard stem-like consistency right in the way of the area that was not burning properly. This was upsetting since I know this cigar was tasting great and was looking forward to seeing how it would evolve. I ended the smoke and disected the stick. I've never had this happen before, but it seemed like it was either a stem of some sort or a tremedously tight roll it a micro area. Needless to say I am disappointed but only because I know I could still be enjoying this right now. But I will get more of these.

In all honesty: I love my Rocky P's. For me it is the Rocky Patel Sun Grown Junior. The taste and the draw is great and they are not that expensive. Really good to enjoy myself.

The Rocky Edge Toro is one of my "go to" sticks. I know there are people that aren't fans of Rockys, but the Edge Toro Maduro is definitely worth a shot.

I recently saw this cigar and almost bought one, but instead, went with my old reliable La Flor Dominicana. After reading this post I wish I had been a little more adventuresome.

Thanks for the great post and the great blog.
